A First Look Inside Primaris Health: Highlights From Our Soft Opening

On May 2, 2026, we opened our doors a little early.
Before our official public launch, we invited a small group of guests into the clinic for a private preview of Primaris Health. We wanted the people who will shape this community to experience the space, meet the idea behind it, and tell us honestly what they thought. It was a soft opening in the truest sense: a quiet first conversation, not a grand reveal.
Why we started with a vision, not a ribbon
Primaris Health did not begin with a building. It began with a belief that healthcare should be proactive, personalized, and deeply human.
For too many people, medicine only enters the picture after something has already gone wrong. We wanted to build the opposite: a place focused on staying well, planning ahead, and understanding your own health long before a problem forces the issue. That is what proactive, longevity-focused care means to us, and it is the standard we are building Primaris around.
It also means care that adapts. Your health changes over time, and your plan should change with it. At Primaris, your care is reviewed and adjusted as your needs and goals evolve, so the plan you start with grows alongside you rather than sitting in a file.
The soft opening was our first chance to share that vision in person and to listen. The feedback our guests gave us is already shaping how we prepare for launch.
What guests experienced
Throughout the day, guests got a closer look at the ideas that define the clinic:
• Our patient-first philosophy: care built around the person, not the appointment slot, with time to actually talk.
• The services and technologies behind long-term health: the tools and approach that support prevention, longevity, and optimized wellness, tailored to each individual's goals.
• A different clinic experience: calm, considered, and personal, designed to feel less like a waiting room and more like care that respects your time.
More than anything, guests met the people behind the care. Primaris is led by a team of credentialed Calgary physicians. Putting experienced, accountable clinicians at the centre of every relationship is a deliberate choice and the heart of how we practise.
Care that works as a team, under one roof
Most clinics ask you to assemble your own care: a family doctor here, a physiotherapist across town, a specialist months later, with you carrying your own history between them. Primaris was built to remove that burden. Under one roof, the clinic brings together family physicians, naturopathic doctors, physiotherapists and massage therapists, chiropractors, dermatologists, optometrists, dietitians, and fitness consultants, working from a shared plan rather than in isolation.
Holding that plan together is a dedicated care manager, a registered nurse who coordinates your appointments, follows up on results, and keeps your care moving so nothing slips through the cracks. It is a simple idea with a real difference: your team talks to each other, so you do not have to repeat your story every time.
In the words of our CEO
"This soft opening marked an important milestone for us," said Matt Lau, CEO of Primaris Health. "It allowed us to share our vision, gather early feedback, and begin building meaningful relationships with our community before officially opening our doors."

What comes next
The soft opening confirmed what we hoped was true: Calgary is ready for a more proactive, personal way of thinking about health.
We are now preparing for our official public launch and will continue sharing updates, announcements, and milestones in the weeks ahead. If you would like to be part of what we are building, we would love to hear from you.
